Thunder in the Holy Land for Hosts
So, you’re going to be the next host of Thunder in the Holy Land! Congratulations. This page has all the information you’ll need for a successful shoot.
The very FIRST thing you’ll need to do is download the Thunder Host Prep Packet. PLEASE NOTE: There are 8 pages of vital information outlining the steps you need to take to be properly prepared to make your time in studio a success.
NEXT: Download the scripts. For your convenience they are available in 4 different formats. It is imperative that you fully “own” these scripts before you arrive in studio. To make that a reality read them out loud with expression multiple times. You need to read them aloud to someone else who will give you constructive feedback. Because the scripts will be moving on a teleprompter it will be very helpful if you prepare by reading your scripts from a computer or tablet teleprompter before coming to the studio. There are a number of teleprompter software packages for free and for a nominal fee at the app store. In studio you will have a dedicated teleprompter technician that will follow you at your dynamic pace.
FINALLY: We’ve included the entire video series so that you can watch Charles Byrd doing the Host portions (typically at the beginning, middle, and end) to get a feel for how the script was intended to be delivered.
If you treat your preparation time as your single focus for the week preceding your arrival, repetitively going over the scripts, you will most likely have a comfortable two to two and a half days in studio. The studio team is professional and they are expecting no less from you. If you have any type of dyslexia or ADD you’ll want to double or triple your prep time.
Your in studio time starts at 7:00 a.m. and will end at 6:00 p.m. (grace may extend no later than 7 p.m.) Any portion of a 4th day will cost another $1,200. Each day will include prayer, personalized coaching, make-up services, change of outfits, lunch, healthy snacks, and lots of laughs amongst the hard work. Strongly consider not scheduling yourself to preach the following Sabbath (you’ll thank us).
